The objective is to develop and accredit the curriculum for a two-year associate diploma in the hospitality sector.
This curriculum is based on the evaluation of a needs analysis that was carried out in cooperation with the hotel and gastronomy companies of the Arab Hotel Association (AHA). The two-year curriculum was developed by the Palestinian teachers in cooperation with experts from Baden-Württemberg. The Palestinian teachers at Dar Al-Kalima College University and the AHA gastronomy operations are also supported and trained by the Baden-Württemberg project team in the field of didactic and methodological skills.
The close cooperation between schools and businesses in the development of the curriculum is intended to increase employment opportunities for graduates on the one hand and to make the hotel and gastronomy sector more competitive on the other.
The participating project schools in Baden-Württemberg are:
- Paul Kerschensteiner School Bad Überkingen,
State Vocational School for the Hotel and Gastronomy Industry,
- Landesberufsschule für das Hotel- und
Gaststättengewerbe Villingen.
