- Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Singapore
Maintenance and continuation of the partnership between the state of Singapore and Baden-Württemberg in vocational training that has existed for over 30 years.
Baden-Württemberg and Singapore have had a close partnership since 1991. Since then, the two countries have been working closely together in the field of vocational training. Numerous projects for teacher qualification were carried out and school partnerships were established with student and teacher exchanges.
The current projects relate in particular to the further development of the technical schools in the fields of automotive engineering and mechanical engineering that were introduced in January 2007 based on the Baden-Württemberg model. In addition to their Technical Engineering Diploma, the successful graduates of the technical schools also receive recognition as state-certified technicians by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Baden-Württemberg.
During the development of the technical schools as well as in the implementation and control phase, the teachers from Singapore are regularly trained by expert trainers from Baden-Württemberg, currently with a focus on Industry 4.0.
At the same time, in recent years, at the request of the ITE, multipliers have been systematically trained for teacher training in vocational education. The focus of the cooperation is on developing the quality of job-related teaching.
