Promotion of the German language as the language of instruction for specialised teaching at vocational schools in Hungary

As part of training courses, mixed teams of language and specialist teachers are invited to Baden-Württemberg and take part in a one-week training course in German.
The aim of this training is to improve the language teachers' knowledge of German, to get to know the principles of dual vocational training, technical and didactic content in the respective occupational fields as well as the didactic concept of action orientation.
The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Goethe Institute Budapest and the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports as a recurring training course with various technical focuses.
In recent years, the focus has been on the social and health, metal, electrical and wood technology departments.
The formation of tandem teachers (one language teacher and one specialist teacher each) is intended to anchor the German language in the long term and to strengthen cooperation between German and specialist teachers at the schools involved.

Contents of the training
- Dual system and vocational school system in Baden-Württemberg
- Structure of training in different areas, for example geriatric care or industrial mechatronics
- Visits to vocational schools with lesson shadowing
- Exchange with teachers and trainees at schools and cooperating institutions
- Visits to cooperating institutions (for example trade chambers, nursing homes for the elderly or inter-company vocational training centres) to illustrate the close ties between the partners in the dual system
